<lom:langstring xml:lang="de">Für die Pädagogischen Hochschulen bilden die Quereinsteigenden aufgrund ihrer beruflichen Vorstudien und der Art der Qualifizierung eine besondere Studierendengruppe. Der Beitrag untersucht das Studienerleben von n = 103 österreichischen Quereinsteigenden im ersten Studienjahr mittels Onlinebefragung. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Quereinsteigende die Anforderungen im Studium überwiegend als bewältigbar wahrnehmen. Werden quantitative Anforderungen im Studium und die Teamarbeit als herausfordernd erlebt, sinkt die 
Studierendenzufriedenheit und erhöht darüber vermittelt die Abbruchneigung. Zusätzlich erhöht sich die Abbruchneigung durch eine zweite berufliche Tätigkeit neben der Unterrichtstätigkeit. Die Befunde unterstreichen die Bedeutung praxisnaher Unterstützungsangebote, die durch kooperative Lernformate, Peer-Mentoring und einer engen Verknüpfung mit dem eigenen Unterrichtsgeschehen das Studienerleben der Quereinsteigenden gezielt stärken können.</lom:langstring>
